Once service is completed and your defendant is served, it is time for us to provide you with an  Affidavit of Service. The responsibility of serving the defendant rest with the Plaintiff and or his/her Attorney to show and provide proof to the court that the Defendant has been given notice. This is called due process, which is afforded to every US Citizen to be able to face his/her accuser and be able to ask questions.

ABILITY TO FILE INTO EXISTING CASE

This means, if your case was e-filed with Odyssey E-filing we can file a Return of Service, Affidavit of Service or Proof of Service into the existing case file, saving time. Some state are making e-filing mandatory. As of 2021 most courts still require proof that service was effected and filed by standard mail or filing in-person.
